Dare to Dream Like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join us on Sunday, January 19, at the 9am service for a special guest speaker, Dr. Earl Brundage, Jr., as he shares his vision with us of how MLK would imbue us to navigate the choppy waters of today guided by his dream to the mountaintop.

Dr. Earl Brundage, Jr. | Born in the heart of Miami, FL and raised in Liberty City by both parents (Mr. Earl J. Brundage, Sr. & Mrs. Beverly A. Brundage). Earl Jr. decided at a very young age to be different. His environment would make that challenging but his parents kept him involved in church from a very young age, which proved to be the right move. While building a relationship with Christ, he was led to a medical career path. He chose to become a Doctor of Physiotherapy while attending the Medical Magnet program at Miami Northwestern Senior High School during 1999-2003. After earning an Associates in Science degree from Miami Dade College in 2005 and a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Sciences from Florida International University in 2007, he was accepted to the Doctoral program of Physical Therapy at FIU. He completed the three year program in 2010 and has been working in the field ever since. He specializes in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Bell’s Palsy. While in graduate school, he met a group of men who happened to be members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. After learning the great history of the organization (which included prominent members such as Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Justice Thurgood Marshall, and Jesse Owens to name a few), he decided to join in the Spring of 2008 (Beta Beta Lambda Chapter). He has served the greater Miami community through the Fraternity while serving as the Vice President, Financial Secretary, and Step Master of the chapter. He also helps raise money for at risk youth to be able to go to college through the “Go-To-High School — Go-To-College” program which is one of the Fraternity’s National Program. Dr. Brundage met Jaleelay Harvey over the phone on January 15, 2008. He met her in person a few months later that same year and he was mesmerized with her beauty and brains. He proposed to her May 18, 2010 and they completed their nuptials August 11, 2012, officially changing her last name to Brundage. Together they birthed 2 children, Earl A. Brundage, III and Jaleesa A. Brundage. During his free time, he likes to play chess, fly his drone, and spend time creating new memories with his family. His favorite quote is, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.,” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
