Courtni Jackson

Born into a musical family, Courtni has always surrounded herself with music way beyond her years. Her Mother, Karen Smith, and Father, Jackie Jackson, always ensured that music was a big part of her life since birth as they would take her to their many rehearsals and performances throughout her childhood. Her Grandmother, Barbara Smith, also played her part in Courtni’s musical molding as she insisted that she learn to play the piano and was also her first piano teacher when she was only six (6) years old. Courtni draws inspiration from many artistes and groups, ranging from Toots and the Maytals to Beyonce, Bach to Nirvana, Ella Fitzgerald to Damian Marley and everything in between. She is currently enrolled at the Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts where she is reading for a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance. At just twenty-two (22) years old, she knows she still has a lot to learn but is rather eager to dive into the entertainment industry head first. After graduating, she plans to not only pursue her lifelong dream of being a recording artiste but also as a composer and producer.
